Small companies get new environmental product declaration

Small companies sometimes have trouble communicating the positive environmental aspects of their products in a cost-effective and believable manner. In order to remedy this problem, an EU-financed project will be initiated in the autumn to further refine an environmental declaration specially tailored to small companies.

The large companies IKEA and Vattenfall will participate in the project in an advisory capacity, using their experiences to counsel the small companies. The Stepwise EDP (Environmental Product Declaration) method will be tested in small companies located in Latvia, Denmark, Portugal and Sweden.

Mercatus is one of the Swedish companies participating in the project. We will post project information on our website.

IVL and IVF each play a prominent role in the project, which costs about SEK 11 million.
