In battle for top position
PHOTO: Johan OlssonFor the seventh time, Alecta has awarded the distinction of Sweden's best workplace. The 2006 winner is Lillekärrs Äldreboende in Hisings Kärra. Mercatus shared second place with the other eight finalists.
A total of 125 companies registered. 10 were then nominated and reviewed by external examiners. The examiners' evaluation served as the basis of the jury's final decision.
“In addition to good health results, all ten nominees could also show that they live up to the distinction's criteria and have shown fresh thinking in their health promotion efforts,” says Pehr Östberg, head of marketing at Alecta.
The purpose of the Sweden's best workplace award is the reduction of companies' cost for sickness. A reduction in illness-related absence benefits everyone in the form of reduced premiums for the risk insurance that is part of the occupational pension ITP.
We are incredibly proud to have been nominated and congratulate Lillekärrs Äldreboende on receiving the award! Next year just may be our year…
